New releases from Anime Limited and MVM

On Monday April 25, Anime Limited will release a standard Blu-ray of Masaaki Yuasa's 12-part 2008 series Kaiba. Anime Limited describes the story:

"A boy with no name awakens with a hole through his chest, a strange marking on his belly, and no memories. The one link to his past is a locket containing a picture of a girl whose name he does not know. Within moments he meets POPO, who unlike the memoryless boy has a purpose. Through POPO, the boy learns that where he is a body without memory, in this world there are many who are only memories with no body. The rich harvest the choice bodies, leaving only the dregs for those down below. And yet even though he has no memories, there are many who seem to want his life. How does he fit into this world where not even memories might be real?"

Anime Limited will also release a standard Blu-ray edition of the first 12-part season of Kakegurui. Anime Limited describes the story:

"During daylight hours, an exclusive, elite private school prepares its illustrious students for careers in business, politics, and high society. But when darkness falls, the halls of this esteemed establishment transform into an underground gambling den where bright-eyed youngsters learn the timeless art of bluffing, backdoor dealings and social manipulation. In this school for the rich and elite, money is power, and the tyrant of the betting books rules with an iron fist. So when the beautiful Yumeko Jabami upsets the academy hierarchy with her voracious appetite for the thrill of the gamble, the entire student body mobilizes to send her house of cards tumbling down."

MVM will release a standard Blu-ray edition of the 13-part 2002 series Haibane Renmei. MVM describes the story:

"The Haibane, enigmatic youths with halos and flightless, grey-feathered wings, live in a sleepy town surrounded by impenetrable walls - only the crows may come and go. Reki, an older Haibane, discovers a new cocoon, from which Rakka emerges possessing no memories except that of her dream of falling. Questions of her existence cloud Rakka's mind as she struggles to learn the ways of the Haibane and to help Reki escape the Circle of Sin."
